(101) Ifonche-Barranco del Agua Circular (Adeje)

Route Summary
A short but satisfying walk from the highland hamlet of Ifonche with exposure to rugged barrancos, pine forest, and rural farm terraces. The mid-section includes a steady ascent of over 200 m through the forest. There is a handy traditional bar/restaurant at the start/end point.

(97) Arguayo-Ermita Angel-Las Cabezadas Circular (Santiago del Teide)

Route Summary
Although not long, this route provides marvellous viewpoints on the initial ascent of twin-peaked La Hoya. After visiting a little ermita, the 2nd half of the walk ascends on old lava flows to the pines. The return is notable for the terraced tiers of former farm-land and “eras”.

(96) La Quinta-Los Llanos Circular (Adeje)

Route Summary
The walk leaves from the church in La Quinta, ascending through the hamlet before branching off into the pine forest. The environment then changes to have a more agricultural aspect, passing farmed terraces as it descends to the old Camino de los Picos on the return leg.

(93) Las Lajas-Cañada del Sombrero Circular (Adeje/Vilaflor)

Route Summary
A very scenic walk in the pine forest beneath the rim of the Teide Caldera. Roque del Almendro and El Sombrero de Chasna tower above you for significant sections of the route. If you are feeling energetic, there is an optional diversion to the peak of El Sombrero de Chasna.

Route Summary

Route Summary
With an overall ascent of 450 m this is an energetic hike, climbing through pine forest to the site of the abandoned water source at Fuente de Aponte in a delightful wooded barranco. The descent, in open countryside, provides the opportunity for great views in all directions.

(79) Montaña Samara-Cuevas Negras Circular (National Park)

Route Summary
This walk in an amazing volcanic landscape is readily accessible from the southern resorts. It offers tremendous views of the Teno mountains, the islands of La Gomera and La Palma, open pine forests, Mount Teide, Pico Viejo, solidified rivers of lava and volcanic vents/caves.

(76) Chiguergue-Camino Los Picachos-Chirche Circular (Guia de Isora)

Route Summary
This moderately strenuous walk ascends on an old camino, soon leaving Chiguergue behind as it climbs into the pine forest surrounding the TF-38 access road to Teide and the National Park, reaching a height of 1,100 m. On the descent we visit the delightful village of Chirche.

(75) Las Vegas-Lomo Grande-Barranco Geñiga Circular (Granadilla)

Route Summary
This is a moderate half-day hike, with a very manageable overall ascent of 345 metres. Taking in the lovely village of Las Vegas (with many old buildings), rural terraces, ravines (barrancos) and pine forest, you are guaranteed a variety of walking environments.

(72) Vilaflor-Lomo de Topo Negro Circular (Vilaflor)

Route Summary
This walk provides great views and is a good work-out at over 8 km and more than 500 m overall ascent. The route descends into the terraces below Vilaflor before winding up past more plots and pine woods, then heading back down to Vilaflor on the old Camino de Chasna path.

(71) Taucho-Barranco de Yé-Tijoco Alto Circular (Adeje)

Route Summary
At over 9 km, with more than 500 m overall ascent, this is good half-day walk. From the pretty village of Taucho to Tijoco Alto, and back, there are a variety of attractive environments to enjoy – vineyards, rural terraces, rugged barrancos and shimmering, aromatic pine forest.
