A short but energetic walk on the southern side of the Teno Mountains near Santiago del Teide. Great views of the two stunningly beautiful barrancos that lie south of the Masca Gorge, to El Teide, and down to the coastal towns on the West coast.

This is a downhill linear walk on the ancient “camino real” (royal road) connecting Granadilla and San Miguel. Wide open views are a feature of the route and there are some interesting places to check out along the way.

A very scenic rural walk from Santiago del Teide involving a moderate ascent, and taking in fine views of Valle de Arriba, Teide and the Teno mountains. The walk takes you to a shrine which marks the place where the flow of lava from the Chinyero eruption stopped in 1909.

This route from Amarilla Golf is mostly on open ground with good views. The walk starts and finishes amidst green fairways before entering a wild landscape with eroded rock formations and volcanic cones. A diversion to Guargacho, and a visit to the beach are included in this very varied walk.

From a modest and unassuming start-point in Aldea Blanca, this soon becomes a very scenic and interesting walk, much of it on an ancient track that connected both Guanche and Spanish communities in times past.
