Route Summary
You are sure to enjoy this short walk above the cliffs at Playa San Juan. There are fine coastal views and of the mountains. You can visit a ruined building in a rocky cove and, near the end, the large “Alcaraván” sculpture on the headland overlooking the bay at Playa San Juan.

(39) Las Eras-Acantilados de La Hondura Circular (Fasnia)

Route Summary
A short but probably bracing walk along the wind-blown cliffs north of Las Eras in the east coast area. This is an area of scientific interest, most notably for the rare and endangered sea pineapple plant. There are great sea views, and of the mountain areas above Fasnia.

(38) Granadilla-San Miguel Linear (Granadilla)

Route Summary
This is a downhill linear walk on the ancient “camino real” (royal road) connecting Granadilla and San Miguel. Wide open views are a feature of the route and there are some interesting places to check out along the way.

(37) Santiago del Teide-Valle de Arriba Circular (Santiago del Teide)

Route Summary
A very scenic rural walk from Santiago del Teide involving a moderate ascent, and taking in fine views of Valle de Arriba, Teide and the Teno mountains. The walk takes you to a shrine which marks the place where the flow of lava from the Chinyero eruption stopped in 1909.

(36) Montaña Sámara and Volcanoes Circular Walk (National Park)

Route Summary
Readily accessible from the south of the island, this short circular walk offers tremendous views of the west coast, open pine forests, Mount Teide, Pico Viejo, solidified rivers of lava, and other volcanic structures.

(35) Boca Tauche-Chavao-El Cedro Return (National Park)

Route Summary
This easy walk in the Teide National Park runs close to a huge lava field. There are opportunities to enjoy stunning views of surrounding mountains and the hillside immediately above you. In May and June expect to see some marvellous examples of the Tajinaste Rojo in flower.
