This is a downhill linear walk on the ancient “camino real” (royal road) connecting Granadilla and San Miguel. Wide open views are a feature of the route and there are some interesting places to check out along the way.

Readily accessible from the south of the island, this short circular walk offers tremendous views of the west coast, open pine forests, Mount Teide, Pico Viejo, solidified rivers of lava, and other volcanic structures.

This easy walk in the Teide National Park runs close to a huge lava field. There are opportunities to enjoy stunning views of surrounding mountains and the hillside immediately above you. In May and June expect to see some marvellous examples of the Tajinaste Rojo in flower.

This route from Amarilla Golf is mostly on open ground with good views. The walk starts and finishes amidst green fairways before entering a wild landscape with eroded rock formations and volcanic cones. A diversion to Guargacho, and a visit to the beach are included in this very varied walk.

A fascinating walk through the flower-bedecked and historic mountain village of Vilaflor, also taking a short uphill hike into the surrounding pine forest to see a very special tree, the Pino Enano, and the marvellous views from the rocky outcrop it inhabits.
