This easy walk provides an excellent opportunity to see the beautiful Tajinaste Rojo, the flowering plant that is emblematic of Tenerife. There are wonderful mountain views of Teide, Pico Viejo, the Narices del Teide, and the peaks at the western side of the Teide Caldera.

The walk leaves from the church in La Quinta, ascending through the hamlet before branching off into the pine forest. The environment then changes to have a more agricultural aspect, passing farmed terraces as it descends to the old Camino de los Picos on the return leg.

Overall, an undemanding hike that offers variety and closeness to nature over a short distance. At around, 1,100 m above sea level there are opportunities for sweeping views down to the SE coast and upwards to the forests and mountains at the rim of the Teide Caldera.

A good there and back coastal walk taking in the pretty harbour at Los Abrigos and some inviting sandy beaches along the way. There are opportunities for a very pleasant break and refreshment at the mid-point, the Chiringuito Pirata beach bar.

This short walk around the connected villages of La Hoya, Hoya Grande and Tijoco Bajo in the Adeje municipality is less than 4 km in length and has under 150 m in overall ascent. Providing an insight into ordinary Canarian life, there are some good views along the route.

This short walk is based in the pleasant fishing village of Tajao, set within striking and unusual rock formations between El Medano and La Jaca on the east coast. At a mid-point in the walk there is a very large and evocative stone arch. Tremendous coastal views.

This is a very pleasant walk in the rural setting of Ifonche heading out to a charming and verdant spring in the depths of Barranco del Rey. The surrounding volcanic mountains and barrancos provide a jaw-dropping backdrop at a number of places throughout the walk.
