A short but satisfying walk from the highland hamlet of Ifonche with exposure to rugged barrancos, pine forest, and rural farm terraces. The mid-section includes a steady ascent of over 200 m through the forest. There is a handy traditional bar/restaurant at the start/end point.

The walk leaves from the church in La Quinta, ascending through the hamlet before branching off into the pine forest. The environment then changes to have a more agricultural aspect, passing farmed terraces as it descends to the old Camino de los Picos on the return leg.

A short but spectacular walk in the very rural and pine-forested Ifonche area. Taking a path under the cliffs on the edge of Barrancos del Infierno and Seco, the route passes through a botanically interesting environment, visits a number of caves and a verdant spring.

With an overall ascent of 450 m this is an energetic hike, climbing through pine forest to the site of the abandoned water source at Fuente de Aponte in a delightful wooded barranco. The descent, in open countryside, provides the opportunity for great views in all directions.

A moderate hike with a gradual ascent alongside Barranco de Erques to over 1300 metres where you face an impressive canyon wall of rock. The scrub and open pine forest transforms into deeper woodland on the return stretch after visiting the abandoned finca and viewpoint at Casa Icerce.

This walk, encircling the imposing pinnacle of Roque Imoque, near Ifonche, has some very special views. There is a constant, gradual ascent to the turning point overlooking Barranco Fañabe at 977 m high. Echoes of rural life from times gone by are everywhere along the route.
