Hi – We are Alison and John Mackenzie. We spent over two years in Tenerife and we loved the variety that the island can offer from north to south in terms of landscape, culture, history  and climate. We enjoyed walking all around Tenerife, but our ambition on this website was to provide guidance for relatively short walks in the southern area of Tenerife, or easily accessible from the South, mainly within the municipalities of Adeje, Arona, San Miguel, Granadilla and Arico, also in other areas such as Guia de Isora, Santiago Del Teide, Vilaflor, Fasnia, Guimar, Candelaria and parts of the Teide National Park. English language information on these walks can be limited and hard to find, so we hope we have made a contribution to changing that in a way that walkers will find useful.

This website is linked to our self-guided walking site for Scotland.

Small Print Alert! – We can take no responsibility for any accidents, mishaps or similar that you may experience in using our self-guided walks. Always make your own judgement, on the ground, at that moment in time, as to what is safe and appropriate for you. Happy trails …!
