Description
This is a very pretty and engaging walk that takes in three different environments. It provides an introduction to the old town of Granadilla and its pleasant outskirts, then the terraced rural landscape below the town with many sympathetically converted fincas and their colourful gardens. At the lowest point on the walk, after passing through the hamlet of Las Palomas, we experience the completely wild environment of Barranco Afife before returning uphill again on a rural road to Granadilla. Apart from the barranco section, most of the walk is on very quiet local roads and streets. The uphill return section is steep in places and requires some effort! Make sure you have plenty water with you if the weather is hot.
